When we feel that the hunger is not completely finished/satisfied, it means that we have to stop. There is the right empty part of the stomach that should exist, so in this way the fire (Agni) can burn the rest of the food. Agni is responsible for absorbing the nutrients and essential elements the body needs while burning off waste products. If our Agni is strong, we’re able to digest food efficiently and easily assimilate our daily experiences.
2) Ideal time to eat
Eat only when we feel hungry which means, we should never eat for habit, and that we should have a natural hunger.
- Indications of a natural hunger: 1.The mind is easy
2. Sense acute
3. Pleasant sensation
4. Doshas (*) are balanced
